Terms of Service
Last updated June 19, 2026. These terms govern your use of Normal, including the app, SMS/iMessage experience, website, subscriptions, and related services.
Who We Are
Normal is owned and operated by Human Owned LLC. In these Terms, "Normal," "we," "us," and "our" mean Human Owned LLC and the Normal service. "You" means the person using Normal.
By creating an account, texting Normal, using the app, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Normal.
What Normal Does
Normal is personal health intelligence that helps you understand patterns in how you feel. You can share messages, mood, energy, symptoms, food, activity, goals, and other daily context. With your permission, Normal can also use Apple Health information such as sleep, steps, workouts, heart signals, recovery signals, cycle data, and body measurements.
Normal may use AI systems to summarize your information, generate replies, identify possible patterns, suggest follow-ups, and help you decide what to track next.
Not Medical Advice
Normal is not a medical provider. Normal does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency care, clinical monitoring, or a substitute for a licensed healthcare professional.
Any patterns, summaries, recommendations, experiments, nudges, or AI-generated responses are informational only. Do not ignore or delay professional medical advice because of something you see in Normal. If you have a medical emergency, call emergency services immediately.
Your Account
You are responsible for keeping access to your phone, device, login codes, and account secure. You agree that information you provide to Normal is accurate enough for the service to function and that you will not impersonate anyone or attempt to access another person's account.
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe your use creates risk, violates these Terms, harms the service, infringes rights, or is unlawful.
SMS, iMessage, and Communications
Normal may communicate with you through SMS, iMessage, push notifications, email, or in-app messages. Message and data rates may apply. Delivery is not guaranteed and may depend on your device, carrier, network, and messaging settings.
By texting Normal or requesting messages from Normal, you consent to receive service-related communications. You can stop using the messaging experience at any time by no longer texting Normal or by contacting support.
Apple Health and User Data
Apple Health access is optional and controlled by you through iOS permissions. You can enable, disable, or limit Health access in your device settings. Some features may not work or may be less useful without the data they depend on.
You retain your rights in the information you provide. You give Normal permission to process that information as needed to provide, maintain, secure, personalize, and improve the service, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions and App Store Purchases
Some Normal features may require a paid subscription. If you purchase through Apple, the purchase is processed by Apple and is subject to Apple's payment terms, subscription rules, cancellation process, and refund process.
Subscriptions may automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, or as otherwise stated by Apple at purchase. You can manage or cancel App Store subscriptions in your Apple ID settings. Restore Purchases is available in the app for eligible App Store purchases.
We may use RevenueCat to manage subscription status, entitlements, and purchase restoration. RevenueCat does not replace Apple's role as the payment processor for App Store purchases.
Cancellations and Refunds
If you subscribed through Apple, cancellation and refund requests are handled through Apple. Canceling a subscription stops future renewal but does not necessarily provide a refund for the current billing period. Refund eligibility is determined by Apple or the applicable payment processor.

Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse Normal. This includes attempting to reverse engineer the service, scrape or overload systems, interfere with security, upload unlawful or infringing content, harass others, use Normal to provide medical services to someone else, or use Normal in a way that violates applicable law.
You may not use Normal for emergencies, diagnosis, clinical monitoring, or time-sensitive safety decisions.
AI Outputs and Product Limitations
Normal uses probabilistic systems. Outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or not applicable to your situation. You are responsible for deciding whether and how to act on information from Normal.
Pattern detection depends on the quality, amount, and timing of the data available. Normal may miss patterns, identify patterns that are not meaningful, or change its conclusions as new data arrives.
Intellectual Property
Normal, including its software, design, text, graphics, branding, models, workflows, and other materials, is owned by Human Owned LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not give you ownership of Normal. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use Normal as provided to you and in accordance with these Terms.
Third-Party Services
Normal may rely on third-party services for hosting, authentication, messaging, analytics, payments, AI processing, content management, and other infrastructure. These services may have their own terms and privacy practices.
Disclaimers
Normal is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted operation.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Human Owned LLC and its owners, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, health, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from or related to your use of Normal.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Normal will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Normal in the three months before the claim or $100.
Changes to Normal or These Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Normal at any time. We may update these Terms as the service changes. If changes are material, we will update the date above and, when appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of Normal after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
